Kahori Maki is a graphic artist who is active in art festivals both in Japan and abroad, and in collaborations with global companies.
This exhibition will feature over 50 works, including large-format drawings, collages, and digital pieces that will envelop the entire venue, as well as spatial design elements. During the exhibition period, an atelier will be recreated at the venue, and the artist himself is scheduled to create works on-site.
"Drawing Ribbon." Lines thrown as if tossed, and flowers, trees, and creatures drawn with the precision of a manuscript. This balance is created through a series of experimental works that are cut, layered, and reconstructed within the technique of collage.
The title "Ribbon" derives from the image of a released line and the theory that one of its etymologies is "rib." Like the ribs that protect the vital centers of life such as the heart and lungs, these are impulsive lines born to protect the artist's inner self. Artificiality and randomness overlap, giving rise to a new visual world.
