The iconic CH24 Wishbone Chair is a design familiar to many. The exhibition invites visitors to explore the world of its designer, Hans J. Wegner, and experience the warmth of wood shaped by Danish craftsmanship.

Rather than ornate decoration, Wegner pursued a sense of “practical beauty” that supports everyday living. The exhibition showcases his iconic chairs while exploring ways to incorporate his furniture into contemporary interiors. Carl Hansen & Søn

Hans J. Wegner (1914–2007) was born in Tønder, Denmark, and is regarded as one of the leading figures of Danish modern design. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he combined masterful craftsmanship with a deep understanding of materials, particularly wood.

Known for his clear, functional forms, Wegner sought to express the character of furniture through simplicity and precision. His work continues to be celebrated for its balance of structural clarity, organic warmth, and enduring comfort.
