This is an exhibition by Genta Ishizuka commemorating the publication of his first book.  
At the heart of Ishizuka’s practice lies a sustained inquiry into perception, stirred by his medium’s translucent membrane and lustrous sheen.
We will showcase his selected works from the early years to the present which engage the tense boundary between craft and contemporary art, eliciting an unanticipated shift in perception.

Since ARTCOURT Gallery opened its doors in Osaka in 2003, the gallery has focused on internationally acclaimed artists such as Gutai and the forefront of postwar Japanese art as well as new forms of crafts, and younger artists who will forge the future. We organize exhibitions both at our main gallery in Osaka and viewing room in Kyoto, supply commissioned work for architectural spaces, and strive to place works in the collections of museums and collectors all over the world.
