These works use rain itself as their material.
Raindrops are captured on Japanese paper dyed, where their traces are fixed and preserved.
In daily life, the word “rain” often carries negative associations.Yet rain is also part of the ever-present natural phenomenon of the water cycle. These works gently unsettle familiar perceptions, reminding us of our constant contact with nature and its sense of wonder.

Nature has no will, and its beauty lies in simply existing as it is.
By using natural phenomena as raw material, the work hints—like borrowed scenery—at the wider landscape beyond, subtly shifting the viewer’s perspective.
