It is thought that wataridori, or migratory birds, have a geomagnetic sensor and are able to navigate themselves using this sensor. It is also believed that they fly at night using the positions of the constellations as landmarks. YAR, led by YOSHIROTTEN, teamed up with Kota Nakazono to create a work representing a rainbow-colored wataridori, which looks as if it has carried people, things, and air from all over the world to Osaka, where the Expo has brought great excitement.

The wataridori has arrived at Osaka Station. It will fly off to its next destination after resting its wings for a while here.

Artist / Brand

YAR

YAR is a Tokyo-based creative studio led by YOSHIROTTEN.
It is engaged in a wide range of creative works, from art direction, through the creation of graphic designs, videos, web content, and props, to photography, spatial design, and even exhibitions, both in Japan and abroad. YAR has not only taken part in many creative collaborative projects but has also often been involved in activities other than commissioned work, holding exhibitions in Tokyo, London, Berlin, and other locations.
The CG design for this work was created by Kota Nakazono, a Tokyo-based visual artist who creates graphic designs and videos using 3DCG. He materialized a graphic image of a wataridori created by YOSHIROTTEN as a vivid three-dimensional work.
